Blogger: Susi's Art and Crazy Quilts - Configure Blog Posts: "comments"

I am currently working on some things to put on my Etsy site. I wish I didn't have to sell quilts to help support myself, but my disability check doesnt begin to support me.

Thanks to encouragement from a friend in California, I am working on "sugar skull" quilts and items. The "Day of the Dead" seems to have a big following on Etsy and it's really fun to make sugar skulls and skeletons. Some of my friends think it's morbid...I think it is fun.

I have a beautiful yellow and blue pineapple log cabin that I made for my daughter--but it has been crying out to be quilted for at least a year. It's queen sized and such a hassle to spread out and quilt. I keep putting it off. I really need to finish this quilt as I need the safety pins for other pieces!

Sometimes you have to take a step back and spend some time with yourself, and put all your "work" away. I need to do this soon...just sit and think and play with my fabrics and threads. Its time.

You know I love your quilting and you should share it with the world. You are very good at what you do. No, let me rephrase, you are GREAT at what you do!

From your friend and one of your biggest fans!
